At a special meeting of the Commission on March 7, 2025, the Commission discussed advisory opinion request 24-02. The requestor of that opinion was Shawn McKenna with the North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations. Commissioner Sagsveen disclosed a potential conflict of interest to the Commission regarding the advisory opinion because Commissioner Sagsveen provides legal counsel to the Association, therefore having a continuous business relationship with the entity.
